Welcome to the 45th Infantry Division!
We are the 45th Infantry Division Thunderbirds. Soldiers who fought long and hard during World War II. The main goals of the 45th Infantry Division, Call of Duty Unit, besides having fun, are to honor the veterans who served the United States Armed Forces in World War II, so that their legacy may live on, and to educate all within our reach about the history of our nation and our Armed Forces. We are a Call of Duty Tactical Realism Unit, play as realistically and tactically as possible. We strive to utilize teamwork, realism, and the true brotherhood and friendship of our soldiers to accomplish the objectives.
- Operational Order from Headquarters US Army: This online unit, the 45th Infantry Division [45th ID] was founded November 1st, 2004 and is hereby transfered to the front lines November 28th, 2004.

We ARE the Rock of Anzio!
We are the 45th Infantry Division, a Call of Duty 2 Tactical Realism Unit based on the true Thunderbirds who fought in World War II. We were founded November 2004, starting as a Call of Duty United Offensive Unit. We uphold an integrity for the fallen soldiers but most of all... we believe in comradery. The friendship and relationships we create here establishes a bond that is more than gaming, it's a family. The memories of this brotherhood will always lie in the pictures of our home because you create them. We have been going 4 years strong and there is a reason why, our members. We are still gamers who enjoy the fun of the game and with that creates passion.
We are a Tactical Realism (TR) Unit. In fact, we call ourselves a Unit for a reason. A clan is a group of individuals who come together for the simple concept of gaming. A unit is a brotherhood of members who believe in everlasting friendships. We stand together, we win together, we lose together. No matter what game we decide to play, we play it as "ONE".

| 45th Infantry Retires after 5 Years |
|
 Due to the dying Call of Duty community and inactivity among the ranks of the unit and shortage of new applicants. The 45th Infantry Division is ceasing Combat Operations and moving into Retirement on this day, Janurary 1st, 2010, after 5 long years of continuous fighting.
Since it's inception in November 2004, the 45th Infantry Division has seen hundreds of members come and go, many of them remain today. This goes to show the strength of a determined unit, and will be sorly missed. The 45th Infantry Division was a force to be reconed with. Over the course of these 5 years, we have expirenced both good and bad times as with other units and clans, but the fact that we remain and lasted over a few months is a great feat as most clans/units dont last longer than that.
To all forum, game, ts pubs, soldiers alike. The forums will remain up for communication and to keep in contact with everyone, feel free to stick around and keep the spirit alive.
Soldiers of the 45th ID, those who remained to the end will be placed on the final retirement roster, as of 1 Jan 2010 you are released from Active Military Duty with the K Company,3rd BN/157th In Regt, 45th Infantry Division, and being returned home to the United States. You are no longer required to wear the 45th ID patch, you may join other units/clans as you see fit.

It is with great pleasure, trust, and confidence in the fidelities and abilities of the following members, that I do hereby appoint them the following ranks:

These appointees will therefore carefully and diligently discharge the duties of the grades to which appointed and perform all manner of things thereunto pertaining. I do strictly charge and require all personnel of lesser grade to render obedience to appropriate orders. And this appointee is to observe and follow such orders and directions as may be given from time to time by superiors acting in according with the rules and articles governing the 45th Infantry Division.
The 45th Infantry Division would like to recognize those soldiers for outstanding achievements:
Army Commendation Medal - Awarded to any soldier of the 45th ID for meritorious service or achievement while in a non-combat status.

Bronze Star - Awarded to 45th Infantry Division soldier who distinguishes themselves by heroic or extraordinary meritorious service, while engaged in combat or military operations against an enemy.
